Coastal Flood Warning issued May 16 at 3:54PM EDT until May 16 at 7:00PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

* WHAT…Two to three feet of inundation above ground level in
low lying areas due to tidal flooding.

* WHERE…Shoreline in the District of Columbia, especially in
the vicinity of Georgetown.

* WHEN…Until 7 PM EDT this evening, especially around the time
of high tide.

* IMPACTS…The Washington Harbour boardwalk will be covered.
Low lying areas near Fletcher’s Boathouse will be flooded.
More than a third of Roosevelt Island will be inundated. Rock
Creek will experience backwater flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Tides one and a half to two feet above
normal. The next high tide at Washington Channel is at 11:48 PM.
