At 655 AM CDT, Paducah radar detected scattered thunderstorms,
some strong, across western Kentucky, where a Severe Thunderstorm
Watch is in effect until 900 AM CDT.
These storms are producing frequent lightning, heavy rain, and may
also have some small hail. Be aware that the potential exists that
storms will intensify, and may become severe. Large hail and damaging
wind gusts would be in play then, as well.
In addition, heavy rain may cause localized street and low land
flooding.
