Special Weather Statement issued May 17 at 8:29AM EDT by NWS Albany NY

At 828 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles south of Fine to near Alger Island
Public Campground. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Eagle Nest, Little Rapids, Blue Mountain Lake, Beaver River, Carter
Station, Lake Eaton Campground, Quaker Beach, Brown Tract Pond
Campground, Inlet, Deerland, Limekiln Lake Campground, Big Moose,
Sabattis, Partlow, Robinwood, Sagamore, Old Forge, Lake Durant
Campground, Brandreth, and Woods Lake.
