Special Weather Statement issued May 17 at 8:31AM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

At 830 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles northwest of Laurens to 20 miles north
of Greenwood. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Joanna, Mountville, Gray Court, Laurens, Clinton, Hickory Tavern,
Ora, Kinards, Enoree, and Princeton.
