Special Weather Statement issued May 17 at 8:32AM EDT by NWS Albany NY

StormPrep

At 832 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Alder Creek, or 10 miles southeast of Boonville, moving east at 45
mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Nobleboro, Perkins Clearing, Clockmill Corners, Minnehaha, First
Lake, Russia, Piseco, Nicks Lake Campground, Wolf Lake Landing,
Wilmurt Corners, Morehouseville, Hoffmeister, Grant, Atwell, Lake
Pleasant, Wheelertown, Rudeston, West Canada Lakes, Woodin Corners,
and Herkimer Landing.
