Sabine River Near Mineola affecting Smith and Wood Counties.

For the Sabine River…including Mineola, Hawkins, Gladewater,
Longview, Beckville, Logansport…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Sabine River near Mineola.

* WHEN…Until late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS…At 14.0 feet, Expect flooding of secondary roadways with
picnic and recreational areas flooded as well. Also expect
flooded boat ramps as well.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.2 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:15 PM CDT Saturday was 14.8 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue falling to 11.2 feet Thursday
evening.
– Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
15.1 feet on 02/27/2016.
