Flood Watch issued May 19 at 2:47AM MDT until May 19 at 6:00PM MDT by NWS Billings MT

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE…Portions of south central Montana, including the following
areas, Bighorn Canyon, Pryor/Northern Bighorn Mountains and
Southern Big Horn and north central Wyoming, including the
following areas, Northeast Bighorn Mountains and Sheridan
Foothills.

* WHEN…Through this afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff from a long duration rainfall will
cause elevated flows on rivers and streams, and may result in
flooding of small streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone
locations. Waterways that should be monitored include the Little
Bighorn River, Tongue River, Big Goose and Little Goose Creeks.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– Steady rain is expected below 7000 feet today into tonight,
with additional amounts of 0.75 to 1.25 inches expected.
Total precipitation amounts may exceed 2 inches by the end of
the day.
