Florida State Watch Office Morning Situation Report
EOC Activation Level: Level 2
EOC Activation Level: Level 2
Meteorological Summary:
- High pressure remaining centered over the state will keep the weather dry and unseasonably warm statewide again today.
- Feels-like temperatures will be able to reach the middle and upper 90s by the mid-afternoon hours statewide. A few inland locations could exceed the 100 degree mark for heat index. This places nearly the entire state in a “moderate” risk for heat-related illnesses for those outside without protective measures.
- Patchy to locally dense fog could develop by early Sunday morning across North Florida and the Florida Panhandle.
- Locally sensitive wildfire conditions will develop across Northeast Florida as relative humidity values fall near critical thresholds over drying soils combined with occasional wind gusts this afternoon at 10-15 mph.
