Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued May 18 at 8:14PM CDT until May 18 at 8:45PM CDT by NWS North Platte NE

At 813 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Dickens, or 22
miles north of Hayes Center, moving north at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include…
Hayes Center, Wallace, Dickens, Marengo, Hayes Center State Wildlife
Management Area, and Somerset.
