* WHAT…Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE…A portion of south central Montana, including the
following county, south central Big Horn.
* WHEN…Until 600 AM MDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Overflowing poor
drainage areas. River and stream flows are elevated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 115 PM MDT, Emergency Management reported many creeks and
streams at or near bankfull due to heavy rain in the advisory
area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain has fallen over the past
24 hours, and additional rainfall is expected. Expect minor
flooding of small creeks and streams as well as inundation of
low lying areas adjacent to streams.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Lodge Grass, Crow Agency, Fort Smith, Wyola, St. Xavier,
Rosebud Battlefield Park, Kirby, Bighorn Lake, Crow Indian
Reservation and Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation.
– Some streams affected include Lodge Grass Creek, Little
Bighorn River, Owl Creek, Rotten Grass Creek.
