Flood Advisory issued May 19 at 6:51PM CDT until May 19 at 11:00PM CDT by NWS Omaha/Valley NE

Heavy rain will impact the Lincoln area the next hour or so. Expect
typical low-lying spots to flood. Please avoid driving through
floodwaters.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of southeast Nebraska, including the following
county, Lancaster.

* WHEN…Until 1100 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 651 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has
fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Lincoln, Lincoln Airport, Holmes Lake Park and Pioneers Park.

Less Than 1 Week Left To Apply for FEMA Assistance Following February Severe Storms and Flooding FRANKFORT, Ky. – Homeowners and renters in Breathitt, Clay, Estill, Floyd, Harlan, Johnson, Knott, Lee, Leslie,  Letcher, Martin, Owsley, Perry, Pike, Simpson and Woodford counties who experienced damage or losses caused by  the February severe storms and floods have less than 1 week to apply for federal disaster assistance. Disaster Recovery Center Opens in McLean County FRANKFORT, Ky. –A Disaster Recovery Center has opened in McLean County to offer in-person support to Kentucky survivors who experienced loss as the result of the April severe storms, straight-line winds, flooding, landslides and mudslides.
