EOC Activation Level: Level 2 
Meteorological Summary:
  •  Weak frontal boundary to bring scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms to North Florida (50-70% chance of rain); a few may be strong to locally severe
  • The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) outlooking a Marginal Risk for Severe Weather (level 1 of 5) along the I-10 corridor; gusty winds (45-60 mph), frequent lightning, isolated hail, and heavy downpours possible. 
  • Ample sunshine and dry conditions continue through the Florida Peninsula, only stray shower or thunderstorm possible along the Southeast Florida coastline (10-20% chance of rain). 
  • Temperatures remain well above normal for this time of year nearly statewide; heat index values reach the triple digits (98 to 103-degrees) this afternoon. 
  • Areas of patchy to locally dense fog and low clouds may develop across interior portions of the state tonight into Thursday morning. 
  • Onshore winds to continue a moderate to high risk of rip currents along all Florida Panhandle beaches today.
