URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 311 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1055 AM CDT Thu May 22 2025 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southern and East-Central Oklahoma North Texas * Effective this Thursday morning and afternoon from 1055 AM until 400 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...Clusters of storms will continue to spread generally east-southeastward across the region, with large hail possible. The most intense storms are expected across southern Oklahoma into parts of North Texas, where damaging wind potential may also increase this afternoon. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles east and west of a line from 40 miles west northwest of Muskogee OK to 35 miles south of Sherman TX.
