Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued May 23 at 7:38PM MDT until May 23 at 8:15PM MDT by NWS Goodland KS

At 737 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles southeast of
Kit Carson, or 20 miles west of Cheyenne Wells, moving southeast at
25 mph.

THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR Kit Carson.

HAZARD…Baseball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Public. At 724 PM MDT, baseball sized hail was reported
over Kit Carson.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
siding, and vehicles.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of south
central Cheyenne County in east central Colorado.
