Special Weather Statement issued May 24 at 4:18PM EDT by NWS Miami FL

At 417 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a strong thunderstorm near Loop Road Ee Center, or 21 miles east of
Chokoloskee, moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Loop Road Ee Center and Big Cypress National Preserve.
