Flood Advisory issued May 25 at 8:28AM CDT until May 25 at 11:30AM CDT by NWS Topeka KS

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of east central Kansas, including the following
county, Lyon.

* WHEN…Until 1130 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 826 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate rainfall.
This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 1
and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area through the morning hours. This additional rain
will result in minor flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Emporia.
– This includes the following highways…
Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 124 and 129.
Interstate 35 between mile markers 128 and 133.
