How to Apply for FEMA Disaster Assistance
LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas homeowners and renters that were affected by severe storms in March or April may apply for FEMA disaster assistance online, by phone or in person.
Financial assistance after the March 14-15 severe storms and tornadoes is available to eligible residents of Greene, Hot Spring, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Randolph, Sharp and Stone counties.
For the April 2-22 severe storms, tornadoes and flooding, assistance is available to eligible residents of Clark, Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Desha, Fulton, Hot Spring, Jackson, Miller, Ouachita, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, Sharp, St. Francis and White counties.
Arkansans in Hot Spring, Jackson, Randolph and Sharp counties who applied for FEMA assistance after the March 14-15 storms, and who had additional damage or losses from the April 2-22 storms can make an additional application for the April severe weather.
Disaster assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster. By law, FEMA cannot pay for losses covered by homeowners or renters’ insurance.

When you apply for assistance, please have the following information ready:
If you have homeowners or renters’ insurance, you should file a claim as soon as possible.
FEMA cannot duplicate benefits for losses covered by insurance. If your policy does not cover all your disaster expenses, you may be eligible for federal assistance.
