Advisory for the following river in Arkansas…
Black River At Pocahontas affecting Randolph County.
For the Black River…including Corning, Pocahontas, Black Rock…
elevated river levels are forecast.
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…Black River at Pocahontas.
* WHEN…From this evening to Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS…At 17.0 feet, Agricultural lands along the river east
and south of Pocahontas will be impacted by high water. Equipment
and livestock should be moved to higher ground.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 16.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.7
feet just after midnight tonight (May 28) in action stage,
but less than half of a foot from minor flood stage, thus the
necessity for the flood advisory.
– Action stage is 16.0 feet.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
