Special Weather Statement issued May 29 at 8:05AM CDT by NWS New Orleans LA

At 805 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 17
miles west of Dulac, or 25 miles southwest of Houma, moving east at
20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Dulac, Tambour Bay Buoy, Lumcon Center Buoy, and Cocodrie.
