Flood Warning issued May 30 at 8:28AM CDT until June 2 at 10:36PM CDT by NWS Jackson MS

…Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Mississippi…

Tallahala Creek At Laurel affecting Jones County.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE…Tallahala Creek at Laurel.

* WHEN…Until late Monday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 16.5 feet, Water begins to affect building on the
right bank just downstream near Highway 15. Several other
buildings further downstream are affected as well.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 16.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Monday morning and continue falling to 7.7 feet early
Wednesday morning.
– Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
