Waters from Cape Hatteras to Ocracoke Inlet NC from 20 to 40 nm…

At 136 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located 8 nm south of Monitor Marine Sanctuary, moving northeast
at 45 knots.

HAZARD…Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Diamond Shoals and Monitor Marine Sanctuary.
