Neches River Near Neches affecting Cherokee and Anderson Counties.

For the Neches River…including Neches, Alto, Diboll, Rockland…
Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Neches River near Neches.

* WHEN…Until Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 14.0 feet, Minor lowland flooding. Move livestock
and equipment to higher ground away from the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.2 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 PM CDT Saturday was 14.3 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Wednesday evening and continue falling to 10.7 feet
Thursday evening.
– Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.0 feet on 12/28/2013.

The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air Quality Advisory for Thursday June 5, for elevated levels of fine particulates (PM2.5). Pollutants are expected to be in the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range. Air Quality Alert issued June 5 at 2:32AM EDT by NWS Caribou ME

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Air Quality continues the Air Quality Alert for ozone until 11 PM EDT this evening. Ozone levels are expected to remain Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range today, Thursday June 5th. In addition, particle pollution levels are expected to be moderate statewide due to wildfire smoke. It is important to remember that even in areas with moderate levels of ozone and particle pollution the health impacts will be compounded by the effects of heat and humidity.
