Special Weather Statement issued June 2 at 12:29AM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC

At 1229 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Bailey, or 15 miles southwest of Nashville, moving southeast at 30
mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Rocky Mount, Tarboro, Wilson, Elm City, Fremont, Bailey, Princeville,
Sharpsburg, Pinetops, and Spring Hope.
