Dry conditions, relative humidity of 25 to 35 percent, south
winds gusting to 25 mph and temperatures rising to the middle 80s
will lead to elevated fire weather conditions in far northern
Wisconsin this afternoon. These conditions could lead to the rapid
spread of any fires.
Persons are urged to be careful with any activities that could
potentially lead to a wildland fire. Campfires, outdoor grills,
smoking materials, chain saws, and all-terrain vehicles all have
the potential to throw a spark and ignite a wildfire. Be sure to
check with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and local
officials to see if burning restrictions are in place.
