The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection has issued a
Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone, from 11 AM to 11 PM
EDT Wednesday.

An Air Quality Action Day means that Ground Level Ozone
concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy
standards. For additional information, please visit the Connecticut

Air Quality Alert issued June 6 at 3:21PM EDT by NWS Caribou ME

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Air Quality has issued an Air Quality Alert for particle pollution until 11 PM EDT Saturday. Particle pollution levels are expected to rise into the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range Friday into Saturday. Smoke from wildfires in Canada will linger in the northern region today into tomorrow. Outside of the northern areas, air quality is moderate for particle pollution. The Maine Department of Environmental Protection recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects.
