* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…A portion of south central Nebraska, including the
following counties, Buffalo and Dawson.
* WHEN…Until 330 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 933 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated ongoing or upcoming heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen already
in parts of Dawson County, and some of this heavy rain will
eventually affect more of Dawson County along with
northwestern Buffalo County.
– This includes, but is not limited to, the following streams
and drainages…
Buffalo Creek, Plum Creek, Gallagher Canyon State Recreation
Area, Buffalo Creek, Turkey Creek, Elm Creek, Spring Creek.
– Some locations that could experience flooding include…
Lexington, Cozad, Gothenburg, Sumner, Miller, Eddyville,
Willow Island and Farnam.
