Flood Advisory issued June 3 at 8:12AM CDT until June 3 at 11:00AM CDT by NWS Topeka KS

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of east central Kansas, including the following
counties, Anderson, Coffey, Franklin and Osage.

* WHEN…Until 1100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 811 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Garnett, Burlington, Waverly, Richmond, Colony, New Strawn,
Gridley, Greeley, Westphalia, Kincaid, Lone Elm, Harris, Le
Roy and Garnett Airport.
– This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 159 and 167.

Air Quality Alert issued June 6 at 6:47AM MST by NWS Phoenix AZ

AQAPSR The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has extended an Ozone High Pollution Advisory for the Phoenix Metro Area through Saturday. This means that forecast weather conditions combined with existing ozone levels are expected to result in local maximum 8-hour ozone concentrations that pose a health risk. Adverse health effects increase as air quality deteriorates. Ozone is an air contaminant which can cause breathing difficulties for children, older adults, as well as persons with respiratory problems. A decrease in physical activity is recommended. At 819 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 miles north of Greers Ferry to near Guy to near Oppelo, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include...
