Flood Advisory issued June 3 at 8:12AM CDT until June 3 at 11:00AM CDT by NWS Topeka KS

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of east central Kansas, including the following
counties, Anderson, Coffey, Franklin and Osage.

* WHEN…Until 1100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 811 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Garnett, Burlington, Waverly, Richmond, Colony, New Strawn,
Gridley, Greeley, Westphalia, Kincaid, Lone Elm, Harris, Le
Roy and Garnett Airport.
– This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 159 and 167.
