…The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Kansas…

Neosho River at Oswego affecting Cherokee and Labette Counties.

Neosho River near Parsons affecting Neosho and Labette Counties.

Neosho River near Erie affecting Neosho County.

Neosho River near Chanute affecting Allen and Neosho Counties.

Neosho River at Iola affecting Allen County.

* WHAT…Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Neosho River at Oswego.

* WHEN…Until Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 22.5 feet, Riverside Park Drive floods from east of
Xavier Road, just south of the river gage bridge, to 100 yards
east towards the water plant.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 5:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.4 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.9
feet early Friday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage early Saturday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

Air Quality Alert issued June 6 at 6:47AM MST by NWS Phoenix AZ

AQAPSR The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has extended an Ozone High Pollution Advisory for the Phoenix Metro Area through Saturday. This means that forecast weather conditions combined with existing ozone levels are expected to result in local maximum 8-hour ozone concentrations that pose a health risk. Adverse health effects increase as air quality deteriorates. Ozone is an air contaminant which can cause breathing difficulties for children, older adults, as well as persons with respiratory problems. A decrease in physical activity is recommended. At 819 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 9 miles north of Greers Ferry to near Guy to near Oppelo, moving east at 50 mph.
