…The National Weather Service in Wichita KS has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Kansas…

Ninnescah South Fork near Murdock affecting Kingman County.

Slate Creek At Wellington affecting Cowley and Sumner Counties.

Chikaskia River near Corbin affecting Sumner County.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Slate Creek at Wellington.

* WHEN…From this morning to tomorrow morning.

* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, Flood waters cover several low lying spots
along Seneca Road between 40th and 60th Street just southeast of
Wellington. Woods Park within the city floods. Slate Creek comes
to roadway’s edge at mile marker 15 on the the Kansas Turnpike.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 8:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 20.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
this evening and continue falling to 4.3 feet Thursday
morning.
– Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Pooler, Bloomingdale, Meldrim, Eden and Ellabell. This includes the following highways... I-16 between mile markers 146 and 154. I-95 in Georgia near mile marker 95.
