Special Weather Statement issued June 6 at 8:17PM EDT by NWS Peachtree City GA

At 817 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Stover Creek Shelter,
or 14 miles southeast of Blue Ridge, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Up to 40 mph wind, frequent cloud to ground lightning and
heavy rain.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Dahlonega, Suches, Camp Merrill, Margret, Woods Hole Shelter, Dial,
Springer Mountain Shelter, Len Foote Hike Inn, Pisgah, Black Gap
Shelter, Stover Creek Shelter, Hawk Mountain Shelter, Porter Springs,
Turners Corner, Nimblewill, Blood Mountain Shelter, Gaddistown, and
Gooch Mountain Shelter.
