Flood Advisory issued June 8 at 8:15AM CDT until June 8 at 11:15AM CDT by NWS Birmingham AL

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of central Alabama, including the following
counties, Greene, Pickens and Sumter.

* WHEN…Until 1115 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 815 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Demopolis, Livingston, Eutaw, Aliceville, Pickensville,
Forkland, Boligee, Union, Gainesville, Epes, Emelle, Memphis,
McMullen, West Greene, New West Greene, Allison, Panola,
Mantua, Thornhill and Walden Quarters.
