Flood Warning issued June 8 at 3:53AM CDT until June 10 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Arkansas…

Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam affecting Franklin, Logan
and Johnson Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Arkansas River at Ozark Lock and Dam.

* WHEN…From early this morning to late Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 357.0 feet, flooding affects agricultural use lands
along the river downstream of the lock and dam in Franklin County.
Gas fields are also subject to flooding downstream. Equipment and
livestock should be moved to higher ground. North 5th Street in
Logan County near the Six Mile Levee begins to flood and may cut
off access to a nearby residence.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 3:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 357.5 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to crest near 357.9 feet by
this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday
afternoon.
– Flood stage is 357.0 feet.

At 1221 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Idabel to near New Boston to 6 miles east of Hughes Springs. Movement was east at 60 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Texarkana, Atlanta, Wake Village, Ashdown, New Boston, Foreman, Vivian, Nash, Hooks, Daingerfield, Linden, Hughes Springs, De Kalb, Queen City, Naples, Redwater, Maud, Omaha, Red Lick, and Wilton.

Flash Flood Warning issued June 9 at 12:08AM CDT until June 9 at 3:15AM CDT by NWS Norman OK

At 1208 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms had produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Durant, Sulphur, Atoka, Tishomingo, Davis, Coalgate, Wynnewood, Dickson, Caddo, Mannsville, Roff, Springer, Bokchito, Ravia, Wapanucka, Stringtown, Lehigh, Bennington, Tupelo and Mill Creek.
