At 934 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Knotts Island,
or 11 miles northeast of Currituck, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Expect damage to trees and powerlines.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern Currituck and the southeastern City of Virginia Beach.
