Flood Advisory issued June 8 at 6:04PM CDT until June 9 at 12:00AM CDT by NWS Springfield MO

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following
county, Cherokee and southwest Missouri, including the following
counties, Jasper and Newton.

* WHEN…Until midnight CDT tonight.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 604 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Joplin, Neosho, Webb City, Galena, Seneca, Carterville,
Duquesne, Duenweg, Leawood, Silver Creek, Shoal Creek Drive,
Saginaw, Loma Linda, Airport Drive, Redings Mill, Grand Falls
Plaza, Shoal Creek Estates, Dennis Acres, Cliff Village, Iron
Gates, Racine and Oakland Park.
