Flood Advisory issued June 8 at 7:13PM CDT until June 9 at 12:00AM CDT by NWS Springfield MO

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following
county, Cherokee and southwest Missouri, including the following
county, Jasper.

* WHEN…Until midnight CDT tonight.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 713 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 1 and 2.25 inches of rain have fallen.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Northern Joplin, Webb City, Carl Junction, Galena, Oronogo,
Carterville, Airport Drive, Brooklyn Heights, Crestline and
Riverton.
