The National Weather Service in New Orleans has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Central Harrison County in southern Mississippi…
Southwestern Jackson County in southern Mississippi…

* Until 200 AM CDT.

* At 1238 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain produced by thunderstorms in the area that have already
caused street flooding. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible
in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Long Beach, St. Martin,
D’iberville, Latimer, Lyman, Gulf Hills, Gulf Park Estates and
Gulfport Airport.

This includes the following Interstates…
Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 30 and 53.
Interstate 110 in Mississippi near mile marker 1…and
between mile markers 3 and 4.
