.Rainfall amounts within the past few days of two to four inches
across central Indiana is producing minor flooding along the White
River in western Indiana.
* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE…White River at Newberry.
* WHEN…Until Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS…At 15.0 feet, Most lowlands flood. A few inches of
water on County Road 600 W just north of the river in Mary Long
Cutoff Area.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:30 PM EDT Monday the stage was 13.6 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 PM EDT Monday was 13.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 14.4 feet tomorrow evening.
It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday evening to 5.6
feet early Saturday afternoon. It will rise to 5.7 feet
Saturday evening. It will then fall again and remain below
flood stage.
