Grand Canyon Airport (GCN) Runway Closures – Update

Dates: (Phase 1A) June 15, 2025 – July 14, 2025:

• Pre-closure Work Location: Construction will occur at Taxiway A / B.
• Airfield Closures: Nightly closures of Runway 3-21 (expected to be 8pm – 6am).
• Effects on NAVAID’s: The plan is to have the NAVAID’s stay on at night during the entire duration of pre-closure work (but will be NOTAM’d out).

Dates: (Phase 1) July 14, 2025 – August 10, 2025:

• Closure: Expect Runway 3-21 to be closed to all aircraft operations with lighted X’s on the runway ends (excluding helicopters operating from their respective ramps).
• NAVAIDS and Lighting:  NAVAID’s and lighting will be disabled.
  

Dates: (Phase 2) September 10, 2025 – September 29, 2025:

• Airfield Closures: Nightly closures of Runway 3-21 (expected to be 8pm – 6am).
• Effects on NAVAID’s: The plan is to have the NAVAID’s stay on at night during the entire duration of work (but will be NOTAM’d out).
