Special Weather Statement issued June 11 at 7:30PM PDT by NWS Pendleton OR

At 729 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Seneca, or 22 miles south of John Day, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Silvies and Seneca.
