The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Southwestern Barrow County in north central Georgia…

* Until 200 AM EDT.

* At 1031 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Radar estimated rainfall totals of 2 to 3 inches have
occurred over the last 2 hours. This is likely to lead
to rapid rises in local creeks and streams and
potential flooding of low lying areas.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Winder, Auburn, Bethlehem, Carl, Fort Yargo State Park, Russell
and County Line.
