Strong southerly wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph are expected for a
long duration of the overnight hours across northern Nebraska
Thursday night into early Friday. This is largely due to
evaporation of non-thunderstorm precipitation before reaching the
surface. Areas of greatest concern for this activity would be
along and north of Highway 91, along and east of Highway 7. This
threat should wane towards 4 AM CDT.
