Special Weather Statement issued June 12 at 3:54PM AKDT by NWS Anchorage AK

Continued southerly, onshore flow into the Kuskokwim Delta coast
is expected. Winds increase tonight, peaking by Friday evening
with gusts to 45 mph. This continued push of wind is expected to
amplify the tidal cycle, potentially pushing water levels higher
than the normal highest tide line. Coastal erosion and flooding of
low lying areas is possible. Wind speeds are expected to weaken
and shift easterly by late this weekend. We will continue to
monitor the forecast as the storm develops. Coastal residents
should stay alert, and take appropriate action to prepare for
potential water rises.
