At 1232 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Anchor Dam, which is 23 miles west of Thermopolis, moving northeast
at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Hot
Springs County, including the following locations… Hot Springs
County Airport.

* WHAT...A long period south swell will bring elevated surf up to 5-6 feet to south and southwest facing beaches, along with dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...Ventura County Beaches, Malibu Coast, Los Angeles County Beaches and Palos Verdes Hills. * WHEN...From 9 AM PDT this morning through late Sunday night. * IMPACTS...There is an increased risk of ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Waves can wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats nearshore.
