Special Weather Statement issued June 14 at 12:30AM CDT by NWS North Platte NE

At 1230 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles south of Medicine Lake to 7 miles
southwest of Merritt Reservoir. Movement was east at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Medicine Lake, Valentine National Wildlife Refuge, Merritt Reservoir,
Wood Lake, Steer Creek Campground, Anderson Bridge State Wildlife
Management Area, Schlagel Creek State Wildlife Management Area,
Indian Hill, Schoolhouse Lake, and Big Alkali Lake State Wildlife
Management Area.

This includes the following highways…
Highway 20 between mile markers 216 and 222.
Highway 97 between mile markers 99 and 129.
Highway 83 between mile markers 188 and 201.
