Flood Warning issued June 15 at 10:26AM EDT until June 17 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Peachtree City GA

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Georgia…

Ocmulgee River near Macon affecting Twiggs, Monroe, Houston,
Jones and Bibb Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Ocmulgee River near Macon.

* WHEN…Until late Monday night.

* IMPACTS…At 19 feet, Minor flooding continues. The Macon Greenway
Ocmulgee Heritage Trail will begin to flood in areas just north of
the Martin Luther King Boulevard bridge. The public should not use
this portion of the trail. In addition…the lowest sections of
the Charles Jones Gateway Park will flood. Portions of
agricultural lands well downstream will be under two feet of water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:30 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 18.7 feet and rising.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
tomorrow evening.
– Flood stage is 18 feet.
