…FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR WEST CENTRAL NEW MEXICO TUESDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS, LOW HUMIDITY, AND VERY
HIGH FIRE DANGER…

.An upper level disturbance will cross north of New Mexico on
Tuesday, bringing breezy to windy conditions to the state. In
addition, hot temperatures and very low humidity are forecast with
very high fire danger in place. In addition, numerous lightning
strikes occurred over the southwestern mountains last Friday. This
along with ongoing wildfires is posing higher risk for rapid fire
growth on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire
Weather Watch…which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through
Tuesday evening.

* AREA AND TIMING…West Central Mountains (Zone 105) and West
Central Basin and Range (Zone 109) Tuesday afternoon through
Tuesday evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS…Sustained at 15 to 25 mph with occasional gusts
to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY…Dropping to 5 to 10 percent in the late
afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended..
