Flood Advisory issued June 15 at 11:49PM EDT until June 16 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of northeast North Carolina, including the
following counties, Bertie, Chowan, Hertford, Pasquotank and
Perquimans.

* WHEN…Until 200 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1149 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Elizabeth City, Hertford, Winfall, Ryland, Weeksville,
Colerain, Belvidere, Burgess, Snug Harbor, Tyner, Valhalla,
Chapanoke, Rockyhock, Nixonton, Pasquotank, Midway, Beach
Springs, Yeopim Station, Light Nixon Fork and Smithtown.
