Flood Advisory issued June 16 at 8:29AM CDT until June 16 at 10:00AM CDT by NWS Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.

* WHERE…A portion of south central Minnesota, including the
following counties, Faribault and Freeborn.

* WHEN…Until 1000 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or
is imminent. Water over roadways. Minor flooding in low-lying and
poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 828 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream
flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused
minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 2.5 and 5 inches
of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Albert Lea, Wells, Clarks Grove, Minnesota Lake, Alden,
Glenville, Geneva, Emmons, Bricelyn, Hartland, Freeborn,
Mansfield, Easton, Frost, Twin Lakes, Conger, Kiester, Brush
Creek, Walters and Manchester.
