Flood Warning issued June 15 at 8:21PM EDT until June 17 at 8:00AM EDT by NWS Peachtree City GA

…The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Georgia…

Ocmulgee River near Macon affecting Twiggs, Bibb, Jones, and
Houston Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Ocmulgee River near Macon.

* WHEN…Until Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS…At 19 feet, Minor flooding continues. The Macon Greenway
Ocmulgee Heritage Trail will begin to flood in areas just north of
the Martin Luther King Boulevard bridge. The public should not use
this portion of the trail. In addition…the lowest sections of
the Charles Jones Gateway Park will flood. Portions of
agricultural lands well downstream will be under two feet of water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:30 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 19.7 feet.
– Recent Activity…The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:30 PM EDT Sunday was 19.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Tuesday morning and continue falling to 12.8 feet early
Friday afternoon.
– Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
– Flood History…This crest compares to a previous crest of
19.6 feet on 04/29/1997.
