Special Weather Statement issued June 16 at 12:42AM CDT by NWS Bismarck ND

At 1241 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles south of Lignite to
10 miles southeast of Tioga to 6 miles north of Watford City.
Movement was southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Stanley, Tioga, Ray, Bowbells, Powers Lake, Wildrose, Epping, Ross,
Battleview, Lostwood, White Earth, Wheelock, Hamlet, Keene, Lewis And
Clark State Park, White Earth Bay Recreation Area, Charlson, Spring
Brook, White Tail Bay Recreation Area, and Coteau.
